Week 10: MKMMA 2016-Thought Replacement

Anything Can Be Learned That You Desire

It’s funny to me that when I ask my business partners if the concepts they are learning in our Masterkey Mastermind Alliance are new, I get a peculiar look.  You see, I was born training my subconscious mind.  I didn’t know what I was doing even though somehow I did.  If you believe in reincarnation, maybe I used to be a philospher like Hypatia?  After all, I did get half of my floor in the second semester freshman year as a 17 year old to take a night astronomy class after I showed them how it counted as a science gen ed.  Reading about her, I definitely feel that we have the same beliefs and strengths.  Who knows?



I have also been referred to as an old soul and thrive at my contract at the Osher Center for Integrative Medicine at Northwestern working with the “Mature Adults”.  My students laugh with me when I say the “immature adults” like myself are technically no longer qualified to be in the classroom.  Although I am the instructor in the front of the room, I find that we share knowledge.  I attract an intellectual crowd that has humor.  Laws of attraction.  There are also many caregivers in my class.  However, they take the time exercising with me as self-care.  I am both honored and humbled to be a part of their self-care regimen.  I am so fortunate in what I do, and I love all of my students!

Bora Bora

One thing that works very nicely for me in this journey that we call life is if I feel anything less than love, appreciation, and/or gratitude is thought replacement.  On rare occasion, I will find myself in a conversation that I am trying to end as we can agree to disagree and I love you.  Sometimes, you can not get the other party to agree to close the conversation.  Here comes choice and consequence.  One choice is to just hang up the phone.  Another choice is to say, “I have diarrhea.  I need to use the bathroom.”  I have to give credit to the Dr. Oz show for that one.  (I love it as it is true that no one will question you on diarrhea.)  A third option that I sometimes turn to is thought replacement.  I refrain from speaking and envision myself on the beach in Bora, Bora until the other person is ready to hang up.  I am well aware that I don’t need to be a free social worker or psychologist.  However, I have a loving personality and realize that sometimes people need to feel heard.  I have a choice on protecting  my subconscious mind from absorbing any unnecessary information in a way that works best for me.

I promise to live my definite major purpose everyday which supplies my personal pivotal needs of True Health and Liberty.
