Week 9-MKMMA 2016: Love

Infinite Love Gold

This month we have been reading Scroll 2 in Og Mandino’s, “The Greatest Salesman in the World”.  Uh oh, “Saleswoman” Alert.  Why is Cathy writing this blog?  Is she trying to sell me into something?  Absolutely not!  I have never been in “sales” per se.  However, we are all salespeople whether we realize it or not.  When you go on a job interview, you have to sell the interviewer on the fact that you are the best candidate.  When you want a date with someone, you are selling your personality to see if it is compatible enough for some time out together.

Scroll 2 is “I will greet this day with love in my heart”.  If you can’t tell.  That comes naturally to me.  Why would anyone want to start the day off with something less than love?  Why would anyone not want to have self-love?  Some people who are still searching for how to love themselves may call another’s self-love conceit, selfish, or self-absorbed at times.  I do not take that personally.  I explain the importance of self-care using the oxygen mask theory on the plane and tie that into the importance of self-love.  If that does not work, I have a choice to detach with love.  What does that mean you may ask?  When I find that another’s ill feelings are difficult for which to guard my loving mind is not as easy as I need it to be, I can keep a distance with compassion.  Sometimes, a friend needs a little time to work through an issue on his or her own.  Other times, that friend may need a lifetime.  Either way, my love for him or her as well as myself does not change.

I hope that you enjoy the below song!

I love you, miss you, and appreciate you everyday!

    • Thank you so much for the compliment. I love you as well. I am checking out your blog. I live a mostly gluten free lifestyle. When I choose to eat a little gluten to densensitize my GI tract so I do not become a full blown celiac problem, I choose to do Yoga for Digestion. I can’t wait to learn what you do.
